Cloud Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Manage cloud security governance and monitoring efforts.

• Oversee a Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solution.

• Serve as a Google Cloud subject-matter expert while collaborating with DevOps, IT, development, and GRC teams.

• Assist in the maintenance of cloud-native security controls.

• Perform security assessments for cloud environments.

• Create documentation that details security recommendations and best practices.

• Identify vulnerabilities, weak points, and missing controls, providing suggestions for enhancements and remediation.

• Keep track of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and cloud security controls.

• Engage in investigations and responses to potential security incidents.

• Automate security-related tasks for improved efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable technical security role.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) / Google Workspace.

• Strong understanding of CSPM and DSPM solutions.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, best practices in architecture, managed services, common vulnerabilities, mitigations, and security best practices.

• Awareness of contemporary application development methodologies, including infrastructure as code, CI/CD, containers, serverless architectures, and code/artifact repositories.

• Comprehensive IT and enterprise architecture knowledge, encompassing the TCP/IP stack, relevant protocols and technologies, firewalls, proxies, Windows/Linux server OS, and web/database servers.

• Basic scripting abilities in Python/Shell.

• Fundamental understanding of AI concepts and practical experience with AI tools to enhance productivity, automation, and security workflows.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Capability to function effectively within an enterprise environment.

• Knowledge of AWS cloud is a plus.

• Relevant certifications in security, systems, or networking are advantageous.
