Cloud Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Supervise cloud security governance and monitoring activities.

• Manage a Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solution.

• Collaborate with DevOps, IT, development, and GRC teams to offer subject-matter expertise in the Google Cloud environment.

• Support and uphold cloud-native security controls.

• Perform security assessments for cloud environments.

• Create documentation that specifies security recommendations and best practices.

• Identify vulnerabilities, missing controls, and weak points, providing clear guidance for enhancement and remediation.

• Stay updated on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and cloud security measures.

• Engage in investigations and responses to potential security incidents.

• Implement automation for tasks related to security.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bring a minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable technical security role.

• Exhibit experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) / Google Workspace.

• Apply a robust understanding of CSPM and DSPM solutions.

• Grasp how cloud infrastructure operates, including best practices for architecture, managed services, common vulnerabilities, mitigations, and security best practices.

• Communicate clearly, positively, and persuasively on security matters to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering effective relationships.

• Maintain a strong security mindset with a focus on business enablement.

• Utilize knowledge of modern application development methodologies (infrastructure as code, CI/CD, containers, serverless, code/artifact repositories, etc.), with hands-on experience being an advantage.

• Possess extensive IT and enterprise architecture knowledge (TCP/IP stack, relevant protocols/technologies—firewall, proxy, etc.; server operating systems like Windows/Linux; web/database servers, etc.).

• Employ basic scripting skills (Python/Shell) to automate and optimize daily tasks.

• Have a foundational understanding of AI concepts and practical experience using AI tools to enhance productivity, automation, and security workflows.

• Communicate effectively in both spoken and written English.
