This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Design security architectures for intricate IT infrastructures, considering ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, and other pertinent guidelines.
• Perform risk assessments and establish preventive protective measures for cloud, on-premises, and Kubernetes environments.
• Incorporate security requirements into existing systems, architectures, and CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
• Provide advisory services to clients, particularly in the public sector, regarding regulatory requirements related to modern IT and cloud infrastructures (e.g., DORA, NIS2, KRITIS).
• Develop and enhance Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and emergency/incident management frameworks in critical environments.
• Empower development and operations teams to fulfill security requirements.
• Produce and maintain security documentation and conduct training sessions.
• A degree in a STEM field or an equivalent qualification.
• Extensive hands-on experience in cyber or IT security with an emphasis on technical execution.
• Profound understanding of security standards and their practical application (ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz).
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and their translation into technical security measures (e.g., NIS2, DORA, KRITIS requirements).
• Experience in designing, evaluating, and implementing security architectures—preferably in diverse environments (Cloud, on-premises, OT/IT).
• Proficient in managing cloud infrastructures and major hyperscalers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Practical experience with DevSecOps principles and the integration of security into CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies.
• Willingness to travel within Germany (averaging a maximum of 3 days/month).
• Openness to undergo security screening (SÜ1 or SÜ2) as per SÜG requirements.
• Excellent proficiency in German and English.
