Cloud Infrastructure Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Accountable for directing the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise cloud infrastructure services within a multi-cloud setting.

• Provide both strategic and technical leadership for cloud platforms, with Microsoft Azure serving as the primary environment.

• Supervise cloud governance, security measures, and operational excellence.

• Oversee a Cloud Architect and key initiatives for infrastructure transformation.

• Define and implement the enterprise cloud infrastructure strategy in alignment with business and IT objectives.

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP.

• Promote the adoption of cloud best practices, such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated deployment methods.

• Manage monitoring, logging, and observability utilizing tools like Azure Monitor, Sentinel, and comparable multi-cloud solutions.

• Establish and uphold cloud security frameworks, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and security policies.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as GDPR and CMMC.

• Develop cost management strategies to optimize cloud expenditures and enhance financial accountability.

• Manage cloud and infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery, alignment with scope, and consistency with business objectives.

• Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS and/or GCP Solutions Architecture, ITIL, or similar service management frameworks.

• Demonstrated experience in cloud architecture, engineering, and operations across multi-cloud environments.

• Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Azure, including governance and security frameworks.

• Significant experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, and CloudFormation.

• Experience managing cloud-based workloads, including virtual machines, Kubernetes, storage, networking, and databases.

• Proven track record in cloud migrations, including tenant-to-tenant scenarios.

• Strong knowledge of cloud identity and access management and security best practices.

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and security tools in cloud environments.
