This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Work closely with client stakeholders to comprehend their business goals and technical needs, offering expert guidance and creating optimal cloud solutions on Azure.
• Oversee the practical implementation and deployment of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Design and construct the essential cloud services needed to support contemporary data platforms, which include data lakes, data warehouses, and machine learning environments.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment, testing, and integration of both infrastructure and applications.
• Provide continuous operational support and maintenance for client cloud environments as part of our managed services, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
• Enforce and implement cloud security best practices, cost management techniques, and governance policies to maintain secure, compliant, and cost-effective client environments.
• Support the sales team from a technical standpoint during pre-sales activities, including contributing to proposals and presenting technical solutions to potential clients.
• Serve as a subject matter expert within the organization, mentoring junior staff and contributing to internal best practices and knowledge bases.
• Demonstrated commercial experience in a Cloud Engineer, DevOps, or Cloud Consultant position.
• Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with key Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Virtual Networks / Gateways, RBAC, Management Groups, Azure SQL / Managed Instance, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure Kubernetes Service / Azure Container Service).
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or Bicep, along with a solid understanding of Azure Resource Manager.
• Experience with scripting and automation in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Thorough understanding of CI/CD principles, along with experience using tools like Jenkins, Github Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to connect with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A consultative approach with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable operating in agile, client-facing environments, demonstrating autonomy and ownership.
• Willing to travel to London for client or team meetings as needed (occasionally).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or other relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400).
• Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of building and supporting cloud-native data services (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure HDInsight, Azure AI Foundry).
