Principal Consultant – Education Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive solution architecture for Education Cloud implementations as well as digital transformation projects.

• Act as a strategic consultant for client stakeholders, which includes executive leadership, business sponsors, and technology teams.

• Conduct discovery workshops to grasp institutional goals, business processes, operational challenges, and future-state requirements.

• Create scalable solution designs, architecture diagrams, data models, and implementation roadmaps that align with Salesforce and industry best practices.

• Design Education Cloud solutions covering Recruitment and Admissions, Student Success, Advising, Academic Operations, Advancement, Alumni Relations, and Constituent Engagement.

• Establish enterprise data architecture, governance frameworks, security models, and integration strategies across Salesforce and third-party systems.

• Lead the strategy and planning for data migration, ensuring a successful transition from legacy student information systems and related platforms.

• Provide architectural oversight throughout the entire project lifecycle, which includes design reviews, configuration guidance, testing strategy, deployment planning, and post-production optimization.

• Collaborate with technical architects, developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure alignment and excellence in delivery of solutions.

• Promote the adoption of Salesforce platform features such as Flow, OmniStudio, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, and other components of Education Cloud.

• Participate in pre-sales activities, including solution estimation, proposal creation, and client presentations.

• Mentor consultants and solution engineers while advocating for architectural standards, delivery methodologies, and best practices within the Salesforce Practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Educational Technology, or a related field.

• Over 7 years of experience with the Salesforce platform.

• More than 3 years in roles such as Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Lead Consultant, or a similar leadership position.

• Extensive knowledge of Education Cloud and business processes in higher education.

• Strong comprehension of Education Cloud data architecture, including person accounts, relationships, affiliations, academic structures, and management of the student lifecycle.

• Experience in designing enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions that involve multiple clouds, integrations, and complex data migrations.

• Proven track record in developing enterprise data models, security architectures, and integration frameworks.

• In-depth understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, declarative architecture, Flow, OmniStudio, Experience Cloud, and associated technologies.

• Outstanding communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and consulting abilities.

• Capability to convert complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions and strategic roadmaps.
