This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Assist in the design and development of innovative, cloud-native products for the healthcare and public sector.
• Contribute to the modernization and scaling of platforms utilized in healthcare delivery, public health, and governmental services.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable product platforms based on Java that support healthcare initiatives.
• Create and enhance cloud-native applications using contemporary frameworks and engineering best practices.
• Convert policy, regulatory, and program specifications into secure, production-ready software solutions.
• Develop reusable services, shared components, and platform capabilities to facilitate multiple programs.
• Design and implement solutions on AWS that leverage secure, compliant, and cost-effective cloud services.
• Utilize microservices, API-first, and event-driven architectures to foster interoperability and scalability.
• Ensure systems comply with requirements for availability, resiliency, performance, and disaster recovery in regulated contexts.
• Support modernization efforts aimed at transitioning legacy platforms to cloud-native architectures.
• Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines with stringent controls for quality, security, and compliance.
• Implement DevOps practices to boost release reliability, transparency, and auditability.
• Collaborate with platform, SRE, and security teams to ensure effective monitoring, logging, and operational readiness.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to enhance development efficiency, code quality, and test coverage.
• Conduct design and code reviews, mentor fellow engineers, and advocate for engineering standards and best practices.
• Over 11 years of experience in application development and programming with Java.
• Proficiency in modern Java frameworks, such as Spring and Spring Boot.
• Experience in building cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and automated testing.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent).
• Expertise in API design, RESTful services, and integration patterns.
• Experience working in Agile, product-centric teams.
