Cloud Engineer – Workflow Automation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain solutions on GCP, utilizing services such as BigQuery, BigTable, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Agent Platform (previously known as Vertex Ai), and other cloud-native services.

• Create and uphold ETL and data pipeline automation for both structured and unstructured data workflows.

• Implement automation using Python and shell scripting to facilitate workflow execution, data movement, platform integrations, monitoring, and operational tasks.

• Provide support for AI/ML and agent-based workloads, including model integration, agent workflows, and applicable AI-enabled automation.

• Containerize applications, scripts, services, and workflow components utilizing Docker.

• Deploy containerized workloads to cloud-native environments such as Cloud Run or other managed GCP runtimes.

• Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines for application deployment, infrastructure modifications, workflow automation, and data pipeline releases.

• Develop and maintain Terraform modules for consistent GCP infrastructure deployments.

• Support and integrate workflow or lab orchestration platforms like Mendix, NAN, Nextflow, or comparable tools.

• Collaborate with application teams, data engineers, lab system teams, and business stakeholders to convert workflow requirements into scalable cloud solutions.

• Contribute to best practices related to cloud security, logging, monitoring, reliability, automation, and cost efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.

• Familiarity with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, IAM, or networking.

• Strong programming and automation skills, particularly with Python.

• Experience in supporting ETL pipelines, data movement workflows, or data processing automation.

• Proficiency in Docker containerization.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.

• Background in workflow automation, lab orchestration, low-code platforms, or process automation tools like Mendix, NAN, Nextflow, or similar.

• Ability to troubleshoot cloud workloads across permissions, networking, containers, logs, data pipelines, and service integrations.
