Cloud Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Diagnose and resolve reported incidents and challenges.

• Offer support for any issues related to the platform infrastructure for OnPrem, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

• Create documentation and guide junior team members in process development, documentation standards, and remediation practices.

• Design technological solutions that fulfill technical requirements as outlined by architectural documentation, both on-premise and in cloud-based IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

• Maintain a documented inventory of all technology platforms.

• Install, configure, and oversee server software, including configurations such as IP, SAN, OS, Policies, etc.

• Monitor, manage, and support all infrastructure technology platforms.

• Oversee and sustain on-premise and cloud-based backup and recovery services as per Hanger policies and Standard Operating Procedures.

• Create and execute automated backup strategies for both on-premises and cloud infrastructures.

• Automate the failover and fallback processes to ensure reliability and availability using Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery.

• Address complex issues where analysis of situations or data necessitates a thorough and expert evaluation of various factors, including external service providers, administrative controls, architectural principles, and business goals.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in the implementation and development of on-premise and cloud-based technology services across all technology delivery methods, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred; 2 years of experience may substitute for one year of formal education.

• Over 8 years of experience supporting a Windows server and Linux environments.

• More than 4 years of experience supporting Microsoft Azure.

• Possession of Microsoft AZ-900 and AZ-104 certifications, or equivalent experience.

• Basic knowledge of programming or scripting skills in any language is required.

• Familiarity with policies, procedures, and management documentation.

• Experience in developing and maintaining automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Microsoft DevOps.

• Expert-level knowledge and design experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Powershell, Linux, and Microsoft Endpoint Management (SCCM and SCOM) is essential.

• Design and administration experience with hardware in areas such as compute, storage, and backup are required.

• Experience with x86 hardware and Enterprise Storage Appliances and Arrays is mandatory.

• Design experience with compute and storage provisioning and administration in AWS and/or Azure is necessary.
