This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Design and support cloud networking solutions across multi-account, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Architect and manage cloud-native networking services, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Cloud WAN, Direct Connect, VPNs, Load Balancers, and security controls.
• Develop and sustain Infrastructure as Code utilizing CloudFormation, Terraform, and associated automation tools.
• Automate the provisioning, deployment, and lifecycle management of cloud networking resources through CI/CD and DevOps methodologies.
• Implement security controls for cloud networking, such as AWS WAF, AWS Network Firewall, AWS Shield, and similar technologies.
• Troubleshoot issues related to network performance, availability, and connectivity, while enhancing observability and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish networking standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Offer technical leadership and mentorship regarding cloud networking technologies and solutions.
• Report to the Manager of Cloud Network Engineering.
• Over 8 years of experience in network engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
• More than 5 years of practical experience in designing and supporting cloud networking solutions within enterprise environments.
• Extensive experience with AWS networking services such as VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Direct Connect, Cloud WAN, VPN, Security Groups, and Load Balancers.
• Experience with Azure or other cloud networking platforms is highly preferred.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally with AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Familiarity with automation and scripting technologies, including Python.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking architecture, routing, DNS, TCP/IP, network segmentation, and high-availability design.
• Experience in implementing cloud-native security controls and governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud automation.
• Preferred: AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty.
• Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
• Preferred: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
• Preferred: Azure Network Engineer Associate or equivalent cloud certifications.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting multi-cloud environments and cloud transformation initiatives.
