Cloud DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +11 more states.

📋 Description

• Supports the release process of candidate CI/CD pipelines to effectively communicate the necessary states and steps for determining a release candidate for each application and service.

• Designs and builds fully autonomous CI/CD pipelines that enable cloud deployments, automating all aspects of infrastructure, services, and application build and deployment.

• Guarantees that every component of the pipeline adheres to sound software engineering practices, including automated testing and infrastructure validation.

• Develops tools aimed at minimizing errors and enhancing the overall customer experience.

• Aids in the resolution of production issues, ensuring that pipelines and infrastructure generate clear documentation and metrics that facilitate Root Cause Analysis.

• Creates and tests Ansible Playbooks, Terraform Scripts, and Packer Scripts while establishing immutable infrastructure to make patches a thing of the past.

• Collaborates with Enterprise Architecture, Information Security (InfoSec), Software Delivery, and Quality Assurance to facilitate the organization's transition to the cloud through complete automation.

• Ensures adherence to risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for process enhancements; and applies structured change management methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Six (6) years of relevant post-secondary education and/or experience in Information Security or Information Technology.

• Two (2) years of pertinent DevSecOps experience.

• AWS DevOps certification or Azure DevOps certification.

• Experience in building and deploying cloud-native applications, including OpenShift and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

• Familiarity with secrets management solutions like Hashicorp Vault.

• Knowledge of implementing Chaos engineering principles in the pipeline to identify weak points and recommend solutions.

• Experience with testing tools that facilitate automation and integration within CI/CD pipelines.
