Cloud DevOps, Platform Engineer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.

📋 Description

• Create and execute CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps, encompassing multi-stage deployment and the promotion of environments (Dev/Test/UAT/Prod)

• Implement and oversee Azure infrastructure through Bicep, including Function Apps, Key Vault, and App Configuration

• Establish secure authentication and access methods using Managed Identity and Azure Key Vault

• Administer environment configuration and deployment methodologies across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production environments

• Set up monitoring, alerting, and operational readiness with Azure-native tools (e.g., Application Insights, Log Analytics)

• Facilitate and sustain hybrid cloud connectivity between Azure and on-premises systems (e.g., SQL Server)

• Work collaboratively with engineering and architecture teams to uphold best practices in DevOps, security, and scalability

• Diagnose deployment, performance, and infrastructure challenges across environments

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Azure DevOps and the design of CI/CD pipelines

• Practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, ideally Bicep (or ARM/Terraform)

• Experience in implementing secure Azure solutions (Managed Identity, Key Vault, RBAC)

• Strong grasp of environment management and release strategies

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools available in Azure

• Understanding of hybrid cloud networking and connectivity (Azure to on-premises)

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, delivery-oriented environment

• Experience with Azure Functions and serverless architectures (preferred)

• Knowledge of App Configuration and centralized configuration management (preferred)

• Exposure to data platforms or integration workloads in Azure (preferred)
