Cloud DevOps Engineer – Pharma

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design and execute enterprise-grade cloud solutions utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Oversee, update, and improve current Infrastructure as Code stacks, including handling legacy migrations.

• Track cloud environments and address operational issues and security concerns.

• Provide support for production cloud workloads using both native and third-party tools.

• Assist users with access requests while ensuring compliance with security best practices (MFA, key management, policies).

• Maintain the overall health of the cloud environment (patching, antivirus, backups, performance thresholds).

• Deliver Day2 operational support and troubleshooting.

• Uphold configuration management integrity and governance standards.

• Manage migrations to new tool or framework versions (e.g., Terraform, Bitbucket).

• Develop and sustain runbooks and operational documentation.

• Follow ITIL processes (change, incident, problem, configuration management).

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and development teams using Agile and Scrum methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native tools.

• Demonstrated experience in supporting production cloud workloads.

• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and tools (Terraform preferred).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins).

• Good knowledge of code repositories (GitHub, Bitbucket).

• Understanding of automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).

• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby, or similar).

• Solid grasp of networking and security concepts (routing, firewall, VPN, TCP/IP, VPC, Security Groups).

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Strong command of English (both written and spoken).

• Ability to work collaboratively in global and cross-functional teams.
