Lead DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Supervise the design, execution, and upkeep of cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms.

• Lead and manage a team of DevOps engineers, delegating tasks and ensuring adherence to best practices in deployment, monitoring, and security.

• Establish and enforce CI/CD processes along with infrastructure automation standards utilizing Terraform.

• Take ownership of implementing and governing Landing Zones in both AWS and Azure.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold security policies across all environments.

• Promote the use of observability tools such as DataDog and set standards for logging.

• Coordinate incident response efforts and conduct root cause analyses for infrastructure-related issues.

• Develop SLA frameworks for critical services and formulate strategies for auto-scaling, failure recovery, and disaster recovery.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure DevOps strategies are aligned with business objectives.

• Review and validate technical documentation generated by the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.

• Demonstrated experience in leading cloud workload and service migrations.

• Profound expertise in Terraform and infrastructure as code.

• Experience in leading CI/CD practices across diverse environments.

• Strong skills in container orchestration, specifically with Kubernetes and Docker.

• Understanding of cloud cost optimization, governance frameworks, and tagging strategies.

• Familiarity with secret management tools, such as AWS Secrets Manager and Azure Key Vault.

• Proficient in monitoring and observability solutions, including Datadog, CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor.
