Cloud Consulting Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Gaining the trust of potential customers by effectively conducting discovery, analysis, and design workshops that shape and influence their use cases and architectural design choices, ensuring alignment with Red Hat solutions.

• Crafting and outlining delivery projects while guiding consulting teams through successful pilot and production deployments for customers.

• Creating, designing, and delivering content that empowers the broader Red Hat organization to effectively sell (pre-sales), service (consulting), and support (CEE) our solutions at scale.

• Collaborating closely with product business units, product engineering, consulting, support, and sales to guarantee an exceptional customer experience with Red Hat’s products.

• Assisting in the formulation of repeatable methodologies and tools aimed at expanding Red Hat’s service capabilities, fostering consistent customer interactions, and minimizing delivery risks.

• Showcasing thought leadership within the community by producing high-quality white papers, webinars, and presenting at leading industry conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• A background in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (including command line proficiency and Linux network configuration).

• Experience with containers, container management tools, debugging containers, and Quay.

• Proficiency in package management, both via the CLI and with Red Hat Satellite.

• Hands-on expertise with the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOSO18 requires OCP as the base deployment platform, making OCP knowledge essential for OSP).

• Architectural skills, particularly regarding datacenter infrastructure (networking, compute, and storage).

• Computing skills: Lights-Out-Management (LOM) including IPMI and Redfish, UEFI/BIOS, and server hardware.

• Networking proficiency in Software Defined Networking (SDN), Layer 2 (ARP, MAC), Layer 3 (TCP, UDP), and Layer 4 (IP), as well as Open Virtual Switch (OVS).

• Storage expertise in Software Defined Storage (SDS) such as Ceph, SAN, and NAS.

• Experience with Ansible (including playbooks and troubleshooting).

• Knowledge of Authentication and Authorization (Red Hat IDM, Active Directory).

• Familiarity with network/datacenter design, development of design and architecture documentation, and conducting scoping/discovery sessions.
