Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Carry out migrations and validate GCVE.

• Design and architect sophisticated cloud solutions on GCP, including strategies for modernization and the migration of on-premises workloads to cloud settings.

• Establish and take ownership of architecture for GKE, Anthos, and GCVE-aligned solutions, leading hybrid and cloud-native transformation efforts.

• Implement industry-leading practices for cloud security, governance, data protection, backup policies, and user management across all architectures.

• Spearhead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.

• Conduct periodic architecture assessments and suggest improvements for performance, scalability, and resilience.

• Serve as a technical liaison between customers, cloud engineering teams, and vendor support to ensure smooth solution delivery.

• Assist SMEs during critical incidents by providing in-depth technical expertise as required.

• Maintain documentation of customer environments, technical frameworks, workflows, and keep architectural blueprints updated post-reviews.

• Provide internal training on new cloud services, features, and use cases to bolster team capabilities and cloud maturity.

• Lead efforts in performance monitoring, optimization, and cloud governance to ensure well-architected deployments.

• Offer continuous technical leadership, establish best practices, and promote the adoption of modern architectural principles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of comprehensive IT experience.

• More than 2 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Design and implement enterprise-grade GCP architectures encompassing compute, storage, networking, and security.

• Define and manage multi-tier, highly available, and scalable cloud architecture.

• Architect GCP Landing Zones that align with security, compliance, and organizational standards.

• Lead the architecture of cloud-native applications utilizing microservices and container-based patterns.

• Facilitate CI/CD pipelines and automation using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.

• Work collaboratively with development teams on Cloud Developer / DevOps best practices.

• Contribute to emerging Agentic AI use cases and cloud-based intelligent automation initiatives.

• Act as a trusted technical advisor for stakeholders, clients, and delivery teams.

• Produce architectural blueprints, high-level designs (HLDs), low-level designs (LLDs), governance models, and documentation of best practices.

• Mentor junior engineers and architects.
