Clojure Software Engineer, Shopper Inspiration – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and execute Temporal workflows that coordinate multi-step AI processes (such as product attribution, image generation, outfit creation, and copy generation).

• Develop backend services in Clojure that integrate with LLM APIs (including GPT, Gemini, etc.).

• Oversee prompts, context windows, streaming responses, and structured outputs.

• Design PostgreSQL schemas that support intricate AI workflows and vector embeddings.

• Implement RAG pipelines utilizing Qdrant for semantic search and similarity matching.

• Create ClojureScript user interfaces for human review and validation processes.

• Establish APIs and data pipelines that link AI systems to the wider platform.

• Set up monitoring systems to assess AI quality and reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Extensive production experience with Clojure and ClojureScript.

• Profound knowledge of functional programming principles.

• Strong SQL and database design proficiency (PostgreSQL).

• Experience in integrating LLMs into operational systems.

• Solid foundation in backend engineering principles (APIs, data flow, system design).

• Capability to deliver quickly while ensuring quality.

• Ownership mindset — from initial concept to production.

• Interest in AI, vector search, orchestration, and system architecture.
