Clinical Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and implement extensive internal learning initiatives for the Clinical Operations Division in both in-person and virtual settings.

• Collaborate with clinical leaders and essential stakeholders to identify learning and development requirements.

• Create curricula and educational offerings that align with business objectives and strategic goals.

• Work alongside subject matter experts to develop, enhance, and broaden in-person, blended, and virtual learning programs.

• Provide orientation for newly hired clinical staff and ongoing educational programs for current personnel.

• Conduct training through interactive workshops, exercises, scenario-based learning, webinars, on-demand training, and distance learning.

• Ensure content consistency, accuracy, clarity, navigation, best practices, and user experience are maintained.

• Collaborate with an Instructional Designer to develop digital training courses, materials, instructor guides, and other educational media.

• Stay informed about emerging clinical applications to assist in the development and delivery of training materials.

• Recommend and utilize vendor programs that align with instructional goals.

• Facilitate programs that reinforce GEHA’s vision, corporate initiatives, strategies, and objectives.

• Assess and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance improvement tracking.

• Operate independently while collaborating with the management team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a health-related discipline is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical training, clinical education, or staff development within a healthcare environment.

• Preferred experience in managed care, provider networks, or population health training.

• Familiarity with clinical systems and platforms is essential.

• Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations, including HIPAA and accreditation standards such as NCQA and URAC.

• Experience with virtual and blended learning models is advantageous.

• Strong grasp of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical workflows, care management, utilization management, and healthcare operations.

• Excellent facilitation and presentation capabilities.

• Ability to simplify complex clinical concepts into engaging and comprehensible training materials.

• Strong project management skills with the capacity to handle multiple training initiatives concurrently.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Data-driven approach to evaluating training effectiveness and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Must provide non-cellular high-speed internet service such as fiber, DSL, or cable modem for a home office.

• Minimum internet speed of 30 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required.

• Latency response time must be less than 80 ms.

• Hotspots, satellite, and wireless internet services are prohibited.

• A dedicated workspace free from ongoing interruptions is necessary to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.

• Must reside outside U.S. territories and away from Alaska, Hawaii, California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, Pennsylvania, and Maine.
