This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Create and sustain application and capability roadmaps that are in line with the organizational strategy.
• Collaborate with operational and clinical leaders to uncover opportunities for innovation and enhancements in workflow.
• Lead discussions on technology that support population health, care management, ambulatory operations, and initiatives focused on value-based care.
• Assess emerging technologies and offer recommendations to leadership.
• Act as the primary architect for designated domains and applications.
• Engage in governance, architectural reviews, and strategic planning activities.
• Guarantee that solutions comply with enterprise standards, security protocols, and the long-term technology strategy.
• Spot opportunities to minimize technical debt, enhance system integration, and optimize application portfolios.
• Foster strong partnerships with operational leaders, clinicians, project teams, and vendors.
• Conduct workshops, strategic planning sessions, and initiatives aimed at business acceleration.
• Convert operational needs into technology solutions and architectural proposals.
• Offer mentorship and guidance to analysts and project teams.
• Support major initiatives throughout the planning, design, and implementation phases.
• Evaluate impacts across workflows, applications, integrations, and reporting solutions.
• Ensure that solutions are scalable, sustainable, and in accordance with enterprise architecture principles.
• Assist with the prioritization and strategic alignment of project portfolios.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a degree (Required) or over 10 years of relevant experience without a degree (Required).
• Certification/Licensure in Epic Ambulatory certification or Healthy Planet or Compass Rose (Required).
• Epic Cogito certification (Preferred).
• Experience with Population Health, Arcadia, Health Plan, Healthy Planet, Care Management, Community Connect, Case Management, or value-based care programs (Required).
• At least 5 years of experience in healthcare information systems (Required).
• Experience in supporting Epic Ambulatory or related ambulatory healthcare applications (Required).
• Strong understanding of population health workflows and healthcare operations (Required).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional discussions and sway stakeholders (Required).
• Experience in developing strategic recommendations and presenting them to leadership (Required).
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture, application rationalization, or technology road mapping (Preferred).
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and integration technologies (Preferred).
