This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a consistent clinical contact for each member throughout their wellness journey.
• Evaluate members’ immediate risks and clinical requirements using evidence-based methodologies.
• Provide real-time crisis de-escalation, safety planning, and risk management strategies.
• Identify biopsychosocial needs and collaborate with members to determine solutions and next steps.
• Create SMART goals that promote healthy lifestyles.
• Assess readiness for change and implement actions through various stages of change.
• Guide members to suitable clinical care, treatment programs, and community resources.
• Educate members regarding benefit plans, coverage, and navigating care options.
• Utilize specialized evidence-based curricula across different clinical areas.
• Conduct research and provide customized educational or support resources.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues for follow-up, case coordination, and care transitions.
• Balance real-time queue tasks with case management duties.
• Exhibit diplomacy, empathy, and professionalism during challenging conversations.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations, confidentiality, compliance, and clinical documentation standards.
• Manage various health records and systems to document interactions and monitor progress.
• Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
• Perform additional related duties as required.
• Master’s degree or PhD in a mental health field, or an RN with a psychiatric specialization.
• Current independent clinical license, such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LPCC, PhD, PsyD, PMHNP, or psychiatric RN license.
• A minimum of 5 years of post-licensure experience as a behavioral health or substance use clinician preferred.
• Proven experience with brief therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
• Managed care experience is preferred.
• Experience in direct member communication; telephonic counseling/coaching experience preferred.
• Must obtain AAS Crisis Specialist Certification within the first year of employment.
• Experience with Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and CEAP certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong clinical judgement and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated administrative skills and proficiency with computer/software applications.
• Availability for a minimum of 40 hours per week, including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Home internet service through cable broadband or fiber optic with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed.
