
Clinical Specialist – Orthotics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide assistance to customers both virtually and onsite in a clinical setting by educating patients and clinicians, guiding care, and conducting trials to facilitate the clinical usage of our orthotic products and fitting methods.
• Acquire comprehensive technical and clinical knowledge and experience with our Ottobock orthotic range to inform customers about fitting indications and procedures.
• Offer support to customers through phone or MS Teams for product troubleshooting solutions.
• Engage in patient care activities and manage intricate fittings through strategic visits (both onsite and virtual) with our customers.
• Work in partnership with our Education Team to create and present educational content, including online courses, live webinars, onsite clinical seminars, regional training sessions at remote locations, as well as technical presentations and workshops at various professional association meetings and our NA headquarters in Austin, TX.
• Train and onboard internal Territory Sales Managers on product features and functions to establish a successful sales strategy in the field.
• Provide internal education and clinical expertise to our Reimbursement, Technical Support, and Customer Service Departments.
• Serve as a liaison for information exchange between customers and the Professional Clinical Services, Marketing, Sales, and Product Management Departments, including offering technical input for current or future orthotic development projects.
• Supply technical assistance to our custom fabrication department as required.
• Develop technical and clinical resources, articles, or other professional documentation for various Ottobock products and fitting techniques for both internal and external use, publication, etc.
• Must hold an ABC Certified Orthotist designation.
• Experience with advanced orthotic technology and complex fittings is essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to travel domestically 60–75% of the time, with occasional international travel.
• Confidence in presenting and delivering training sessions.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Capability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficient critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Adaptable and flexible in dynamic environments.
• Professional interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual platforms.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must currently reside in the Eastern Region of the U.S.
