This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.
• Under general supervision, provides engineering, sales, educational, and technical assistance in response to inquiries from physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and field sales personnel regarding EP products.
• Engages in work that requires a significant degree of autonomy.
• Identifies and consistently implements the most effective, cost-efficient, and optimal business practices to manage processes; continually assesses their effectiveness and suitability.
• Utilizes independent judgment in planning, organizing, and executing work; monitors performance and communicates status updates to management.
• Serves as a clinical liaison between the medical community and the business sector.
• Exhibits the ability to establish and maintain credible business relationships with clients and shares product expertise accordingly.
• Offers engineering, sales, education, and clinical support in response to field inquiries on an as-needed basis.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of all EP products, including related technical knowledge, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
• Develops, leads, and/or facilitates training sessions and other programs on EP products for healthcare professionals.
• Provides insights, guidance, and feedback to management regarding market responses and elements of next-generation products.
• Ensures regional EP procedural case coverage.
• Offers additional support to EP Sales Representatives in various areas, including sales assistance, regional training seminars, clinical studies/data collection, troubleshooting, and new product training for physicians, nurses, and sales personnel.
• Continuously enhances engineering, sales, and technical skills related to the overall Arrhythmia Management strategy, including learning opportunities from senior sales personnel and management.
• Assists Training and Education departments with advanced educational seminars and the development of educational materials.
• Aids sales efforts with advanced product demonstrations for visiting physicians and sales staff.
• Stays informed about developments in areas of expertise, regulatory requirements, and maintains a good understanding of company and competitor products, markets, and objectives, as well as industry trends.
• Addresses and/or facilitates the resolution of problems, including identifying causes to prevent recurrence.
• Occasionally performs related functions and responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Bio-Medical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent healthcare experience is required.
• Must have the ability to obtain certification on EP products.
• Requires a minimum of 6 months experience in a Clinical Specialist role.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience (either internally or externally with an industry competitor) is necessary.
• Must achieve or exceed expectations in the most recent performance review.
• Requires an average of over 15 cases per month for 6-12 consecutive months as the primary mapper.
• Must be the primary mapper on complex cases for at least 6 months (requires a minimum of 3 complex cases in the last 6 months).
• Demonstrates the ability to increase the utilization of Abbott Advanced Mapping and Ablation Tools.
• Responsible for completing monthly sales activities at their accounts.
• Must verify that all vendor credentialing requirements will be met, which may include COVID-19 vaccination.
