This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Identify and assess new sponsor/CRO clinical trial studies from both existing and potential sponsors/CROs.
• Generate, discover, and evaluate prospective business opportunities for Alcanza’s network of clinical trial sites.
• Recognize sponsor prospects, conduct needs analysis, pinpoint opportunities, and collaborate with the Business Development team for follow-ups.
• Manage inquiries from prospects alongside Directors of Business Development.
• Develop and implement strategic activities for sponsor/CRO accounts that align with Alcanza’s business objectives.
• Organize and engage in both internal and external discussions and meetings regarding sponsor/CRO inquiries.
• Assist in the preparation for industry conferences by researching and qualifying potential sponsors and CROs.
• Keep track of industry trends, emerging therapeutic areas, and indications that could present potential study opportunities.
• Identify, qualify, and manage leads sourced from websites, marketing campaigns, and marketplace platforms like Zymewire, GlobalData, and CenterWatch.
• Support the achievement of annual sales goals, monitor progress, and report on leads, opportunities, and pipeline development.
• Collaborate with site operations and Business Development throughout the sales cycle.
• Advocate for Alcanza’s clinical trial site network and expertise to sponsors and CROs.
• Keep updated on Alcanza’s clinical trial capabilities.
• Engage in strategic and business decisions regarding new study opportunities.
• Execute sales and business development tasks, including sales planning, reporting, and precise lead/opportunity entry in Devana.
• Maintain accurate data in Devana for leads, sales, and business development activities.
• Coordinate with the Business Development team to ensure the smooth transition and execution of new business opportunities.
• Organize visits from prospective sponsors/CROs to Alcanza sites.
• Provide updates on marketplace developments and competitor activities.
• Participate in, lead, and/or present at team, department, management, client, and other meetings as necessary.
• Communicate and engage professionally with clients and both internal and external stakeholders.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of patient, customer, and company information.
• Undertake other assigned responsibilities.
• Travel up to 10% may be necessary based on business requirements.
• A bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field, along with a minimum of 1 year of business development or sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is essential.
• Experience in inside sales and/or business development with pharmaceutical and medical device companies and/or CROs, clinical trial sites, or networks.
• Knowledge of the clinical trial process (Phase I–IV).
• Familiarity with Zymewire, GlobalData, and/or other pharmaceutical marketplace platforms is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), internet use, and typing skills (40+ wpm).
• Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail.
• Well-honed written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to network and build relationships effectively.
• Skills in presentation and persuasion, including the ability to explain complex concepts to varied audiences and engage in effective business development and selling techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and listening skills; capable of working independently as well as in collaboration with teams, clients, sponsors, and all levels of the organization.
• A proactive, self-driven, results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, adjust to changing workloads and deadlines.

• Travel may be required up to 10% of the time, depending on business needs.
