Clinical Research Nurse – Home Visits, PRN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Rhode Island.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to participants of clinical trials in their homes.

• Execute study-related tasks, which include taking vital signs, collecting and processing specimens, shipping specimens, and conducting electrocardiograms (ECGs).

• Administer investigational medications/products in accordance with study protocols.

• Perform patient assessments and monitor for any adverse events while reporting findings to the study team or Principal Investigator.

• Meticulously document all visit activities in line with study requirements.

• Instruct patients about study procedures, medications, and adherence.

• Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP guidelines and study protocols.

• Interact effectively with patients, caregivers, and study teams.

• Uphold HIPAA compliance and protect the confidentiality of health information.

• Act as an advocate for patients/participants and their families.

• Work independently, recognize personal limitations, and escalate concerns as necessary.

• Adhere to ethical research standards, including protections for vulnerable populations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Current and unrestricted nursing license.

• Graduate from an accredited BSN, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.

• At least 2 years of acute care experience post-qualification.

• BLS certification is mandatory.

• ICH-GCP Certificate (or willingness to acquire one).

• Basic proficiency in IT (mobile devices, documentation systems, Microsoft tools).

• Capability to work independently in home-based environments.

• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.

• Trained in Handling and Transport of Hazardous Substances (training can be provided).

• Flexibility in scheduling is crucial.

• Experience in Clinical Research is preferred.
