This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish high-quality clinical care standards for Float visits, which includes adherence to provider orders, medication administration, infusion practices, assessment, monitoring, escalation, and documentation.
• Develop and sustain clinical review criteria, decision-making frameworks, and escalation pathways for the independent contractor model.
• Define and track clinical quality indicators throughout the Float marketplace.
• Investigate and address medication errors, adverse events, near misses, and clinical quality incidents.
• Lead root cause analyses and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.
• Differentiate between individual performance issues and systemic failures related to workflow, education, product, or partner levels.
• Assess when incidents necessitate nurse education, competency reassessment, marketplace restrictions, or leadership escalation.
• Generate accurate and defensible conclusions for nurses, pharmacy partners, and Float leadership.
• Convert quality findings into educational priorities, competency expectations, job aids, and targeted communications for nurses.
• Draft and maintain clinical policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documentation standards, and investigation protocols.
• Assess whether quality interventions enhance nursing practice.
• Act as the clinical quality representative in pharmacy partner quality reviews, investigations, and performance discussions.
• Collaborate with Product, Analytics, and Compliance teams on clinical requirements and risk assessments.
• Create a scalable, measurable, and continuously improving clinical quality system across Float markets, pharmacy partnerships, and patient visits.
• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
• Five or more years of nursing experience, including at least three years in clinical quality, patient safety, risk management, clinical education, or documentation review.
• Direct experience in conducting clinical incident investigations utilizing root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies.
• Strong understanding of nursing standards of practice, medication administration safety, clinical documentation, and escalation procedures.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Sound judgment regarding the need for education, system redesign, escalation, or restrictions from clinical activities.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote, rapidly changing environment.
• Preferred: Experience in home infusion, specialty pharmacy, biologics, or immunoglobulin administration.
• Preferred: Background in supporting a 1099 contractor network, healthcare marketplace, or distributed clinician population; multi-state practice experience.
• Preferred: Familiarity with accreditation frameworks (ACHC, URAC, The Joint Commission) or training in just culture, human factors, lean, or high-reliability principles.
• MSN, MHA, MPH, or a related graduate degree is preferred.
• Candidates must reside in the U.S. and have the ability to overlap with Pacific Time/West Coast business hours.
