This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Inspire and guide the project team towards success.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
• Enforce and adhere to established project governance protocols.
• Create and sustain realistic project timelines and task durations.
• Ensure timelines remain on schedule by identifying and escalating potential threats to the critical path.
• Oversee project progress with a comprehensive view while attending to intricate details.
• Perform ongoing evaluations and feasibility analyses to ensure project success and optimal resource allocation.
• Calculate the time and financial resources necessary to fulfill project tasks.
• Guide clients and users through defined change control processes.
• Take ownership of the project scope, addressing and preventing scope creep.
• Assemble project plans documentation and reports, maintaining them for regular leadership review and updates.
• Implement and enhance process improvements in areas where inefficiencies are detected.
• Gather, analyze, and compile approved metrics to showcase project success and progress in presentations and reports.
• Record lessons learned during project closeout and evaluation.
• Facilitate transition support to the operations team following go-live.
• Collaborate with clients to plan, install, implement, and maintain hardware and software solutions.
• Uphold confidentiality and manage sensitive information in compliance with UK GDPR, NHS Information Governance standards, and relevant data protection laws, including HIPAA and Canadian privacy and security requirements.
• Assess project priorities based on client needs.
• Ensure timely completion of projects to meet established deadlines.
• Work closely with the Chief Services Officer and clients to determine or adjust project priorities.
• Foster strong relationships with clients and their staff.
• Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by the CEO or Chief Services Officer.
• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Biomedical Scientist (or in a similar role).
• At least 5 years of IT Project Management experience.
• Minimum of 3 years working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Experience in IT and Healthcare strategy.
• Proven technical skills and abilities related to all computer-related tasks.
• Ability to comprehend all laboratory-related computer applications, with a readiness to learn and implement new applications and programs.
• Experience managing projects in both private healthcare and NHS Trust environments.
