This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Serve as the embedded clinical authority for two product squads, offering on-demand insight into NHS workflows, care pathways, and patient safety considerations.
• Assess and question product decisions from a clinical perspective—highlighting discrepancies between assumptions and actual care delivery in primary, secondary, and community settings.
• Analyze new feature proposals for clinical accuracy, feasibility, and associated risks.
• Lead or assist in clinical discovery efforts: conducting interviews with healthcare professionals, site visits, and workflow observations across NHS and independent sector environments.
• Integrate NICE guidelines, NHS England policies, and clinical evidence to guide product direction.
• Recognize unmet clinical needs—particularly concerning NHS operational challenges, workforce limitations, and inefficiencies in care pathways—that represent opportunities for product development.
• Act as a liaison between clinicians, product managers, engineers, and designers—translating clinical concepts into actionable language for the team, and product ideas into terms clinicians can assess.
• Collaborate with regulatory teams as the Clinical Safety Lead, taking responsibility for UK compliance requirements, including DCB0129/DCB0160 clinical safety standards and MHRA regulations for Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), ensuring these are integrated into every product decision.
• Assist go-to-market and customer success teams by providing clinical content and guidance on NHS implementation.
• Offer advice and manage clinical implementation within NHS settings—from configuration choices to change management for clinical personnel navigating existing systems (e.g., EMIS, SystmOne, Epic).
• Contribute to clinical documentation, training materials, and onboarding resources tailored to NHS workflows.
• Collect feedback from clinical users after launch and relay insights back into the product development cycle.
• Completion of Core Training (CCT) in General Practice with at least 6 years of experience as a doctor within the NHS.
• Strong understanding of NHS structures, care environments, and the realities of frontline healthcare service delivery in the UK.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment: you are comfortable with uncertainty and know how to make a significant impact without formal authority.
• Experience leading clinical discovery projects with clients and partners, from scoping and recruiting the appropriate voices to synthesizing insights and presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills: you can simplify clinical complexity while retaining key details and can effectively engage with both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
• Experience with NHS system integrations and electronic health record workflows (EMIS, SystmOne).
• Previous experience in a digital health, healthtech, or clinical informatics role.
• Familiarity with product development methodologies (discovery, sprint cycles, roadmapping).
• Competitive salary.
• Opportunity to collaborate with a team that values clinical expertise and integrates it into the product development process from day one.
• A vibrant, mission-driven environment where your contributions directly influence patient outcomes.
• Flexible working arrangements - We are a fully remote company.
• Ongoing learning and professional development opportunities, with access to the latest tools and resources in product development and healthcare innovation.
