Clinical Product Consultant – Utilization Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Work collaboratively with the product and services teams to implement our strategic vision for AwareUM.

• Conduct audits to ensure product accuracy and effectiveness, liaising with the product team for necessary changes.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of AwareUM technology in optimizing workflows for UM nurses.

• Achieve product milestones while balancing client needs with investments in new capabilities that align with the product vision.

• Partner with the UM growth team to facilitate a smooth sales delivery process that meets targeted growth goals.

• Collaborate with the CX team to ensure a seamless, integrated, and consistent user experience.

• Proactively manage the client experience to meet implementation milestones, handle client support requests and expectations, and oversee successful client utilization of the product.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent with RN licensure.

• A minimum of 8 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.

• At least 2 years of experience in utilization management.

• Knowledge and comprehension of Utilization Management, Quality Management, Care Management, and/or Chronic Condition Management within hospital systems, post-acute providers, and/or payers.

• Understanding of evolving reimbursement models, including those from commercial payers, Medicaid, and Medicare.

• Familiarity with CMS and payer regulations related to patient status and care management.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating flexibility and positivity while facilitating information exchange with internal and external clients.

• Capability to work remotely in an effective and efficient manner.

• Proven track record of a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Willingness to travel 20-50% of the time for client or business meetings.

• Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in leading a Utilization Management team within an acute care environment.

• Active and current Utilization and/or Case Management Certification.

• 2-3 years of experience with MCG and/or InterQual products and services.

• Background in software training and education for healthcare-related products is preferred.

• Proficiency in core software applications including Google, Excel, and PowerPoint.
