Clinical Pharmacy Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Assist pharmacists by effectively coordinating patient care with doctors, pharmacists, and other members of the healthcare team.

• Provide support to call center staff and make outbound communications to patients and other clinics.

• Learn and implement current guidelines within a collaborative practice setting.

• Comprehend how pharmacists make treatment decisions in a collaborative practice environment.

• Gain knowledge in utilizing data analysis to assess the effectiveness of clinical interventions.

• Develop an understanding of healthcare software development processes.

• Manage projects independently under the supervision of pharmacists.

• Assist in the daily operations of the clinical pharmacy team.

• Complete assigned research-based projects.

• Identify and communicate areas for improvement in a clear and effective manner.

• Comply with all regulations concerning the handling and use of patient health information.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school program.

• Strong passion for patient service and the healthcare field.

• Familiarity with medical terminology.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
