• Provide education and training for physicians, hospital personnel, and staff on all technical aspects related to investigational products and procedures, including imaging, through the execution of one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and structured in-service education programs on two or more therapies or a single highly specialized therapy. This includes assessing training needs, offering consultation on complex scenarios, and proposing innovative solutions.
• Serve as an expert in delivering education on all facets of two or more therapies or one highly specialized therapy related to assigned device(s), encompassing device handling, implantation, and troubleshooting techniques concerning equipment, tools, and products necessary for device implants. This role includes full certification for independent case support while influencing decisions and fostering new relationships to prepare new sites and monitor compliance.
• Spearhead the continuous improvement of training curriculum, materials, and tools based on clinical trial experience, EW guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Offer coaching, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to team members on launch and complex activities.
• Oversee the certification process for centers, physicians, and other relevant staff, including EW personnel, in accordance with EW SOP.
• Identify potential strategies for adoption.
• Lead clinical support activities, market changes, and assigned accounts, as well as competitive activities in collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales).
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 8 years of experience in medical device and/or clinical settings is required.
• Technical degree in Nursing with 7 years of related medical device and/or clinical experience is required.
• Training experience in a clinical/technical environment is preferred.
• Clinical certification in one or more product indications is required.
• Proficiency in both French and professional English.
• Demonstrated expertise in the MS Office Suite and ability to use general office machinery.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as effective presentation and interpersonal relationship abilities, including facilitation, influencing, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to be adaptable and travel to new sites across the region (e.g., Europe); must possess a flexible mindset.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cardiovascular science.
• Thorough understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, pathology, and physiology, including the applications and terminology relevant to the market and Edwards Lifesciences.
• Complete understanding of medical device regulatory requirements and documentation, device accountability, and adverse event reporting.
• Proficiency in imaging analysis software (e.g., 3Mensio, TomTec, Vitrea, Circle VI, etc.).
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
