This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the clinical subject matter expert for product and project teams, offering insights on clinical workflows, clinical knowledge, and best practices for clinical data.
• Create, develop, test, and maintain clinical data assets that facilitate clinical decision support and enhance clinical workflows.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and clinical validity of clinical data assets over time.
• Convert clinical requirements into workflow and informatics/data specifications.
• Confirm that delivered features embody sound clinical reasoning.
• Examine clinical data to pinpoint gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Improve decision support logic and workflow automation based on clinical data evaluations.
• Review technical specifications for clinical workflow applications and offer clinical informatics insights.
• Assist product managers as a subject matter expert and contributor for clinical application products.
• Maintain and curate mappings to standardized clinical and medical vocabularies.
• Collaborate with clinical, product, and engineering stakeholders to ensure data-driven features are safe, user-friendly, and clinically relevant.
• Partner with clinical leadership on guideline creation, governance of clinical content, quality improvements, and product advancements.
• Collaborate with Quality and Clinical Training/Education teams to enhance clinical workflows and jointly design and implement solutions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• An active, unrestricted clinical license is required (e.g., MD/DO, PharmD, NP, PA).
• Current board certification in the relevant clinical discipline is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of clinical practice experience is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on clinical informatics experience, including data development, analysis, and maintenance, is necessary.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows is essential.
• Experience working with or in multiple EHR systems is required.
• Proven clinical informatics experience that integrates clinical knowledge with data development to support decision-making and workflows.
• High proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL is mandatory.
• Familiarity with FHIR, the FHIR resource model, and FHIRpath syntax is important.
• Proficient in computer applications including Google Suite, Zoom, Zoho, Notion, Slack, and similar platforms.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail are required.
• Capability to reason through complex clinical and data-modeling challenges.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to bridge the gap between clinical and technical audiences.
• Proficient in working collaboratively across various teams and stakeholders.
• Adaptability to quickly respond in a rapidly evolving startup environment.
• Formal education in clinical informatics, such as graduate coursework, a certificate, or board certification in Clinical Informatics, is strongly preferred.
• Experience in building or maintaining clinical content, terminology mappings, or decision-support data sets is strongly preferred.
• Exposure to Claude/Claude Code or other AI models for data design, QA, and integrity is a plus.
• Experience as an informaticist for a clinical data or medical vocabulary firm is an added advantage.
