This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience, which includes implementation, testing, and ongoing support of clinical applications.
• At least 2 years of experience in Health Care Information Technology (HCIT) consulting.
• Advanced experience in Inpatient workflows is essential.
• Experience with Cerner is highly preferred.
• Background as a Licensed Clinical worker or Health Care worker is advantageous.
• A self-starter with a proven ability to identify improvement opportunities and drive change initiatives.
• Strong presentation skills aimed at executives and chief clinicians.
• Collaborate closely with relevant personnel to establish clinical workflows (including Provider, Nursing, Front Office, Ancillary staff, Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Medication Administration, and other Orders workflows).
• Lead the development of future state workflows utilizing clinical and application knowledge.
• Educate clinicians on the proper use of systems while promoting a positive experience with IT solutions.
• Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators for the assigned facility.
• Responsible for the implementation and development of designated clinical applications, providing 1st and 2nd level support to end-users.
• Collaborate with internal resources and vendors to upgrade relevant software or enhancements, including testing new functionalities, enhancements, or upgrades.
• Monitor project progress by tracking activities, resolving issues, maintaining progress reports, and escalating problems as necessary.
• Analyze applications and provide recommendations for enhancements.
• Investigate problems and errors generated by applications and end-users, collaborating closely with both to effectively resolve issues.
• Support and troubleshoot interfaces for inbound and outbound data.
• Determine operational objectives by analyzing functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Provide user references by creating and maintaining user documentation, such as Job Aids; offer help desk support; and train users.
• Maintain system protocols by drafting and updating procedures.
• Serve on various entity and enterprise-wide IT committees as a representative and liaison.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for project work as needed.
