This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct and execute intricate, thorough, and specialized nutritional evaluations.

• Oversee the nutritional assessment process alongside the interdisciplinary team.

• Work with patients/clients to encourage their active involvement and set shared nutrition-related objectives.

• Collaborate with patients, families/caregivers, physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, food services, and departmental leadership in providing care.

• Act as a consultant and serve as a resource for the department and organization.

• Function independently as a preceptor and evaluator for student RD/RDN/DTR training initiatives.

• Mentor and guide new RD/RDN/DTRs and less experienced clinicians.

• Lead and create quality assessment and performance enhancement projects.

• Regularly communicate project metrics to the relevant leadership.

• Head the clinical team and enhance the Clinical Nutrition Program.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a clinical dietitian/registered dietitian in an acute care setting or a similar environment aligned with job responsibilities.

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects within set deadlines.

• Proficient problem analysis and resolution capabilities.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills.

• Patient-focused approach.

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Nutrition is mandatory.

• Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration is required.
