This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver clinical services and promote Tandem Diabetes products within the designated Chicago–Champaign area.

• Collaborate with the Territory Manager to strategize and meet sales targets.

• Identify prospective customers and cultivate business relationships that support product and clinical-services sales.

• Provide clinical and sales assistance along with product education for trainers, physicians, healthcare personnel, and patients.

• Create territory business plans and strategies that address clinical needs.

• Generate leads, assess prospects, and enhance Tandem’s market presence and product uniqueness.

• Educate healthcare professionals and consumers on Tandem products, services, outcomes, and diabetes management topics.

• Organize, schedule, and conduct patient product training and education sessions.

• Build and sustain relationships with healthcare professionals and select and certify contracted trainers.

• Conduct healthcare professional wear experiences and provide education on therapy management reports.

• Communicate published studies and clinical outcomes effectively and in compliance.

• Work in conjunction with Customer Technical Support and Clinical Support Specialist teams to address post-sale issues and additional training needs.

• Maintain CRM records, territory call cycles, company assets, equipment, records, sales materials, and samples.

• Participate in corporate training, sales meetings, conventions, trade shows, and symposia.

• Submit timely expense reports and fulfill assignments and sales reports as directed by management.

• Execute responsibilities in compliance with privacy/HIPAA regulations and other legal and safety standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• RN, RD, RPh, or a comparable combination of education and relevant job experience.

• Advanced Diabetes Education Professional Credential: CDCES or BC-ADM certification, or eligibility for such certification.

• Maintenance of registration and licensure through ongoing clinical education.

• Continuing education focused on patient education, diabetes technology, and pump therapy.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in coordinating and conducting patient education on the technical use of diabetes technology.

• Experience with video remote education is preferred.

• At least 1 year of related experience in the diabetes/endocrinology industry is preferred.

• Proven ability to effectively communicate clinical expertise to both patients and healthcare professionals.

• Comprehensive knowledge of diabetes throughout the life cycle, self-management, diabetes technology, therapies, medications, complications, emergency management, and community resources.

• Ability to forge effective relationships with patients, referral sources, and healthcare professionals.

• Capability to communicate proficiency in Automated Insulin Delivery and diabetes management software reports.

• Ability to resolve educational or product-related issues following company protocols.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and internet tools; familiarity with CRM software is preferred.

• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory at least 80% of the time.

• Capability to operate from a remote home office.

• A valid driver's license, required auto insurance, and a clean driving record are mandatory.

• Ability to travel independently by car or airplane and work after hours when necessary.

• Current negative Tuberculosis test and biannual Tuberculosis screening with documented proof are required.

• Vaccination, including COVID-19 vaccination, may be mandated by certain health systems or local jurisdictions.

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
