
Clinical Data Quality Specialist – Trauma

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist clinical leads, abstractors, and clients with quality-related tasks
• Guide the abstraction team in navigating medical records
• Conduct initial re-abstractions for new members of the abstraction team (Greenlighting)
• Offer re-education for abstractors to enhance quality outcomes and optimize technology usage
• Oversee and execute weekly ongoing IRR to meet completion and quality benchmarks
• Support fallout reviews and second assessments
• Help with case abstraction assignments as directed by the Team Leader
• Carry out harvest submissions as necessary
• Participate in client calls as required
• Fulfill assigned abstraction tasks
• Ensure the security and confidentiality of PHI
• Experience in abstraction and comprehensive knowledge of the designated service line
• Demonstrated quality performance with two or more trauma partners, including at least one Level 1, for a minimum of 6 months
• AIS 15 certification
• ATS Class certification
• Completed ICD-10 training within the last 5 years
• Current TQIP Education
• Intermediate skills in MS Office
• Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases
• Enthusiasm for training others and providing effective, constructive feedback
• Ability to excel in a dynamic environment
• Strong organizational skills and capability to manage ambiguity
• Commitment to maintaining the security and confidentiality of PHI
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; preferred
• CAISS certification preferred, but not required
