Clinical Coding Manager

📋 Description

• Supervise and/or execute a precise review of medical records for all RISK Support while engaging in process and quality enhancement initiatives.

• Facilitate training on RISK platform utilization, update training materials, and serve as the RISK Subject Matter Expert (SME).

• Track the status of projects.

• Work on adaptable projects with varying client/project-specific guidelines.

• Assess all Negative/Positive hits.

• Oversee RISK coding projects as necessary, including monitoring project status and completing chart reviews for coding initiatives when required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a professional coding certification from AHIMA/AAPC.

• At least 5 years of direct experience with medical records.

• 5 years of experience in RISK and IVA.

• A minimum of 3 years in a management role.

• Preferred background in Utilization Review (UR), Quality Assurance (QA), and/or Quality Improvement (QI).

• Proficient computer skills and access to high-speed internet at home.

• Strong commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of patient health information.

• Professional demeanor, articulate, and capable of working independently.

• Ability to lead teams and adhere to deadlines.

• Willingness to conduct training sessions during non-standard hours to accommodate abstractor needs and training.
