This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Conduct confidential assessments for substance use and mental health, either in-person or through telehealth, to evaluate clients' needs and care levels.
• Assign clients to suitable facilities based on the outcomes of assessments.
• Work collaboratively with clients and internal treatment teams, utilizing strengths-based and trauma-informed methodologies.
• Offer clinical consultation to referral sources, family members, and other stakeholders.
• Involve clients in the decision-making process and clarify assessment findings along with appropriate care levels.
• Gather and review referral and collateral information to aid in diagnosis, treatment needs, service coordination, and scheduling.
• Manage appointment coordination with Admissions, front desk personnel, clients, and guardians.
• Refer clients to suitable programs and agencies.
• Monitor client access and participation, address treatment obstacles, and follow up on program modifications and satisfaction.
• Coordinate admissions and intake processes or relay approved documentation to external agencies.
• Collaborate with funding sources and Utilization Review to secure authorizations for treatment reimbursements.
• Coordinate services with the legal system, including court appearances when necessary.
• Complete clinical documentation, billing, Outcomes Surveys, and EMR entries.
• Keep updated knowledge and resource lists of agencies and programs.
• Adhere to policies, regulations, standards, confidentiality obligations, and HIPAA protocols.
• Engage in meetings, staff development, and training activities.
• Provide backup support for group and individual therapy sessions.
• Carry out other clinically appropriate tasks and special projects as assigned.
• A Master's Degree in Mental Health, Social Sciences, or another relevant discipline is required.
• An active, unencumbered Idaho Professional Counselor, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy license is required.
• Active mental health licensure in the state where treatment services are provided.
• If substance use licensure is not currently active, a willingness to apply for substance use licensure is necessary.
• Maintain relevant state licensure requirements at the time of hiring and throughout employment.
• At least 1 year of pertinent experience demonstrating knowledge and skills related to the treatment of mental health disorders.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment, uphold professional boundaries, and adhere to strict confidentiality protocols.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed services and cognitive behavioral therapies, including DBT, CBT, and motivational therapies.
• Utilize clinical judgment, ethics, and accountability in the formulation and implementation of treatment plans and clinical documentation.
• Capability to work with diverse populations and the requisite knowledge for treating assigned adolescent clients.
• Strong personal boundaries and the ability to establish rapport with patients.
• Understand and comply with the ethical standards of the relevant licensure governing board.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems.
