This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.
• The Clinical Account Specialist (CAS) is a field-oriented position tasked with the launch of Ionis's inaugural fully-owned commercial product within their designated territory.
• Comprehend the specific objectives and requirements of each customer in their quest for enhanced patient outcomes.
• Achieve this by cultivating, sustaining, and utilizing networks and relationships within the local healthcare system to formulate and implement effective business plans that align with customer and Ionis’s objectives.
• Act as a collaborative cross-functional team member: fostering trust and working together with a diverse group of individuals possessing extensive functional and therapeutic area expertise.
• Educate healthcare professionals (HCPs) and office personnel to increase awareness of the FCS disease state.
• Create a positive prescribing experience through value-added resources and HCP/patient support materials and initiatives.
• Engage in conferences, congresses, and other scientific gatherings to inform HCPs about the FCS disease state and its treatment options.
• Collect insights to profile accounts and provide feedback to field leadership and marketing, aiding in the development of product sales and marketing strategies.
• Understand local referral networks, encompassing primary and secondary treaters, as well as referral patterns for FCS patients.
• Identify, validate, and document potential HCPs who treat FCS patients to inform the commercial strategy.
• Execute brand strategic plans by crafting and implementing customer-focused territory strategic account plans to optimize business opportunities and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to comprehend and cater to the distinct needs of their customers.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales across the following areas:
• Experience in launching new products.
• Proficiency in account-based selling.
• Engagement with HCPs and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs).
• Experience in coordinating cross-functional field teams.
• Prior experience in independently managing a sales territory.
• Background in cardiology, endocrinology, and other subspecialties that treat FCS patients.
• Experience with injectables is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) community.
• Established relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts.
• Ability to analyze market data and devise territory strategies.
• Proven track record of navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs.
• Strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to addressing patient needs.
