This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Support the launch and ongoing development of Ionis’s inaugural wholly owned commercial product as its indication transitions from FCS to severe hypertriglyceridemia.
• Engage with key customers and accounts, pinpoint opportunities to enhance patient care, and cultivate partnerships within the healthcare ecosystem.
• Build, sustain, and utilize local healthcare system networks and relationships.
• Develop and implement effective business plans to achieve customer and Ionis objectives.
• Educate healthcare professionals (HCPs) and office staff on sHTG disease awareness, diagnostic approaches, and treatment prioritization.
• Provide valuable resources and HCP/patient support materials and programs.
• Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings.
• Collect account insights and relay feedback to field leadership and marketing teams.
• Understand local referral networks and identify, confirm, and document potential HCPs treating sHTG patients.
• Implement brand strategic plans and create customer-focused territory account plans.
• Develop tactics based on customer needs, including those of endocrinologists, cardiologists, and targeted primary care physicians (PCPs).
• Adjust territory strategies to align with business goals.
• Participate in field meetings and training sessions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teammates and share insights from customer engagement.
• Utilize available platforms and technology to compliantly engage customers through various channels.
• Partner on accounts involving patients treated by multiple specialties across different geographies.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Experience with new product launches.
• Account-based selling experience.
• Experience engaging HCPs and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs).
• Coordination experience within cross-functional field teams.
• Prior experience in independently managing a sales territory.
• Background in cardiology, endocrinology, and other subspecialties treating FCS patients.
• Preference for injectable experience.
• Knowledge of cardiometabolic and lipid-related diseases, including severe hypertriglyceridemia.
• Established relationships with key opinion leaders and major accounts.
• Ability to analyze market data and formulate territory strategies.
• Proven track record of navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs.
• Strong clinical knowledge and dedication to addressing patient requirements.
• Ability to learn and adhere to the company’s mission, vision, policies, procedures, and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
• Capability to complete approved-label and compliance training, along with applicable customer-engagement certifications.
