This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Reach out to prescribers representing Filspari, an innovative treatment for rare kidney disease.
• Establish Travere Therapeutics as a frontrunner in the nephrology sector and optimize sales within your territory.
• Collaborate with customers to support the diagnosis and management of patients suffering from rare kidney disease.
• Oversee all business-related activities within your defined geographic area, including achieving sales targets, strategic planning, and managing expenses.
• Connect with nephrology healthcare professionals in focused institutions and clinics.
• Educate providers who manage patients with rare kidney diseases about Travere therapies.
• Assist compliantly with therapy access, including testing procedures, determining site-of-care, and educating on the reimbursement process.
• Provide educational support to an underserved patient demographic.
• Plan, assess, and interpret sales data to pinpoint and address business prospects.
• Travel domestically overnight up to 30% and engage in face-to-face interactions with colleagues and contacts at healthcare facilities or customer sites.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; a background in life sciences or clinical disciplines is preferred.
• A combination of education and relevant job experience may be acceptable.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biotech sales is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience calling on prescribers of specialized, high-value products.
• Proven track record of sales success with measurable/documented achievements and accolades.
• Experience in rare diseases or highly specialized products is preferred.
• Prior experience engaging with academic institutions is preferred.
• Previous experience in a start-up environment is desirable.
• Familiarity with nephrology is preferred.
• Experience with products distributed through specialty pharmacies.
• Ability to plan, analyze, and interpret sales data effectively.
• Proficient in using Sales Force Automation applications and basic business software.
• Capability to multitask, prioritize, and handle changing responsibilities in a dynamic, cross-functional setting.
• Strong collaboration skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational capabilities.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable personal vehicle that meets company standards is required.
• Background check including Motor Vehicle Record is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel domestically overnight up to 30% is required.
• Must reside within the assigned territory or its immediate vicinity.
• Ability to conduct face-to-face interactions with colleagues and/or on-site in San Diego.
