This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Drive strategic opportunities for business growth and collaboration with leading U.S. cancer centers and the top 20 largest oncology practices in the region.
• Develop comprehensive strategic plans aimed at acquiring and retaining both new and existing clients.
• Optimize client-bill contracting opportunities.
• Execute laboratory services agreements (LSA’s) with billing account institutions.
• Work in collaboration with all sales roles (VP, Sales, RSD’s, DSM’s, SAM’s, and GL’s) to ensure the successful achievement of company goals and objectives.
• Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between potential oncology clients and Tempus.
• Advocate for and promote adherence to new web-based molecular information tools among all clients.
• Continuously assess the competitive landscape and environment within assigned accounts to identify trends and relay customer insights to Tempus leadership.
• Monitor sales performance to ensure objectives are reached.
• Formulate and execute a thorough business plan for the territory that includes budgets, travel, territory management, goal setting, and more.
• Collaborate effectively with individuals across various departments within Tempus.
• Exemplify, embody, and represent the Tempus company culture consistently to both external and internal stakeholders.
• A Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, biology, business, or marketing is required; an MBA is preferred.
• 2-3 years of direct account management experience in a molecular diagnostic context, demonstrating a record of past performance that has met and surpassed expectations.
• The candidate must possess 3-5 years of experience engaging with major cancer centers and clinics, oncology GPOs, large health systems, IHDNs, and substantial oncology practices.
• Proven track record of measurable revenue generation at a diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or relevant biotechnology firm.
