This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships with oncology departments and practices.
• Enhance awareness regarding the advantages and risks of approved products.
• Generate new business opportunities and optimize resource utilization.
• Expand sales and market presence by fulfilling the sales objectives for designated oncology products and indications.
• Comprehend and respond to customer needs while collecting market intelligence.
• Establish connections across accounts to benefit patients, healthcare providers, and physicians.
• Collaborate with internal and cross-franchise leaders to design and modify strategies and tactics.
• Deliver on-label technical and scientific presentations utilizing approved data.
• Act as the primary US Commercial contact for targeted accounts within the assigned territory.
• Work alongside AbbVie and co-promotion partners to offer customer support, site assistance, and resolve customer issues.
• Develop, execute, communicate, and revise strategic and tactical business plans for targeted accounts.
• Provide training for physicians and treatment teams on the approved and safe usage of products.
• Track and report on sales progress.
• Ensure regular communication with internal and external partners.
• Serve as AbbVie’s principal contact for each account and coordinate timely assistance.
• Attend and engage in clinician boards, societies, and meetings with healthcare professionals.
• Stay informed about clinical, market, and payer developments in oncology and related disease areas.
• Complete necessary training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal standards.
• Identify and relay business and customer implications based on relevant information.
• Maintain knowledge of approved product labeling and disease-state information.
• Leverage data, resources, and tools to identify sales opportunities and program strategies.
• Participate in applicable local organizational programs with Legal/OEC approval.
• Must reside within a reasonable distance from San Diego, CA.
• Business acumen and analytical skills to assess diverse data sets using various tools.
• Capability to define account and program strategies that support business objectives.
• Proficiency in addressing customer needs in complex environments through innovative strategies aligned with both company and customer goals.
• Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to lead without direct authority.
• Experience in developing teams to tackle complex projects or challenges to achieve outcomes.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Tenacity and resilience with a strong history of success in demanding environments.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe-driving criteria.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in oncology, specialty, or other pharmaceutical fields is preferred.
• Account management experience in any industry is preferred.
• Specialty pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Background in the healthcare industry, particularly with patients or consulting healthcare companies, is preferred.
• Experience in people management or other leadership roles is preferred.
• An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
• Must fulfill healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination.
