
Clinical Account Director – CAD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee the Karyopharm partnership with various key contacts across all accounts.
• Identify opportunities to utilize Karyopharm products throughout market segments, both directly and indirectly.
• Plan, initiate, negotiate, and manage profitable business relationships and contracts with designated accounts.
• Create and implement account-specific business plans while providing continuous updates to the Market Access team and other internal stakeholders.
• Optimize internal resources, both financial and human, to achieve planned objectives with each customer.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with Market Access colleagues and various functional areas to develop strategic and tactical plans.
• Engage in and support the planning of overall brand and corporate strategies continuously and as part of various sub-teams and committees as required.
• Be recognized as the subject matter expert on assigned accounts, market segments, and issues affecting our relationships and ability to engage with them.
• Manage administrative and fiduciary responsibilities as appropriate to the CAD role.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• 10 years of relevant experience in the Biotech/pharmaceutical or Oncology sector.
• 3 years of Account Management experience in the Biotech/pharmaceutical or Oncology sector.
• Thorough understanding of key organizations and decision-makers in the Oncology field.
• Experience working across multiple Oncology market segments (e.g., GPO, SD, SP, Oncology-focused institutions, and other pertinent partner organizations).
• In-depth knowledge of the contracting process, including terminology, language, and expectations.
• Proven ability to develop strategic and tactical plans at the account level, successfully executing against measurable metrics.
• High level of financial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Experience and success in generating and negotiating agreements within the Oncology sector.
• Willingness to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with the capability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
• Willingness to travel up to 60 percent of the time, including regional and national travel.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability with a focus on influence, impact, and leading without formal authority.
• Proven skills in cross-functional collaboration with internal customers.
• Demonstrated ability to build and execute business plans.
• Experience in Oncology sales leadership is preferred.
• Experience in launching new products or start-ups is highly preferred.
• Experience with oral Oncology products is highly preferred.
