• Oversee the assigned territory and deliver comprehensive renewal execution support to ensure customer retention along with meeting annual revenue and growth objectives.
• Lead renewal negotiations to drive additional revenue.
• Maintain regular communication with customers, both virtually and face-to-face, to establish yourself as a trusted advisor.
• Build robust relationships rooted in an understanding of customer needs and a commitment to delivering value.
• Motivate all accounts to serve as references for Avenu.
• Formulate effective and targeted account plans to guarantee revenue goal achievement and sustainable growth by driving Demand Generation, Pipeline, and Opportunity Management initiatives.
• Cultivate customer insight by actively comprehending each customer's needs and strategic growth objectives.
• Understand Avenu's contract terms and conditions, employing negotiation strategies that provide mutual benefits to both Avenu and our customers.
• Utilize internal Avenu resources to facilitate contract creation, pricing, closing, and bookings.
• Leverage Avenu Solutions by being knowledgeable about and utilizing all Avenu offerings in sales efforts, including industry solutions, LOB solutions, and technology/consulting/business process outsourcing services.
• Recognize Avenu's competitors and effectively position our solutions against theirs.
• Ensure strategic Pipeline planning by maintaining a disciplined approach to keeping a rolling pipeline.
• Keep the pipeline updated and progressing through the pipeline stages.
• Collaborate with support organizations, including Marketing, IAE’s, Partners, and channels to drive pipeline into the designated territory.
• Coordinate resources: assemble the appropriate teams to execute successful product and service deployments, including both Avenu and Partner resources.
• Ensure account teams (and Partners) are well-informed about each account's strategy, positioning them effectively for all customer interactions and events.
• Maximize the benefits of all sales support organizations.
• Maintain the CRM system with accurate customer and pipeline data.
• Actively support all Avenu promotions and events within the territory.
• Have a clear understanding of state and local government management, along with sales and marketing in the public sector.
• Possess knowledge of commercial metrics and forecasting principles.
• Execute other responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated work experience (3+ years) as a Client Success Manager, Customer Success Manager, Account Manager, Key Account Manager, or in a similar role focused on renewals primarily within the public sector, state, and local government accounts.
• Experience in sales operations and/or contract negotiation is advantageous.
• Proven history of success in business application software and service sales across various industries.
• Demonstrated achievements with large transactions and lengthy sales processes in a dynamic, consultative, and competitive environment.
