This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead the overall client service operations and the initiation of new accounts.
• Supervise staff to ensure technical performance aligns with company policies and procedures.
• Manage client data within Salesforce.
• Collaborate with the Director of Account Management and Client Services to coordinate client services.
• Oversee the onboarding process for new clients.
• Establish and maintain the AbsenceTracker system according to client policies, implementing necessary changes.
• Manage applications for new Voluntary Plans and coordinate their processing with the California Employment Development Department.
• Provide clients with statistical data concerning VDI surplus.
• Work with IT and clients to resolve demographic file issues.
• Conduct training sessions for clients on online and mobile reporting systems.
• Foster strong client relationships and ensure service expectations are fulfilled.
• Guarantee adherence to corporate and client guidelines.
• Prepare and disseminate quarterly and monthly client reports.
• Generate ad hoc reports upon client request.
• Organize and prepare for both internal and external audits.
• Assist in training sessions for staff.
• Provide support to the Home Office and sales/service teams with RFPs, client service challenges, and new client presentations.
• Maintain contracts and accountability for TBA-LGB clients.
• Participate in and support industry events, speaking opportunities, and educational sessions.
• Oversee office operations that support TRISTAR administrative functions.
• Travel as necessary.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• Five to ten years of relevant experience in Absence Management and Disability Plans.
• Strong skills in technical claims handling.
• Understanding of Disability and Absence Management laws and regulations.
• Experience in supervising claims operations.
• Capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and meet stringent deadlines.
• Experience with, or the ability to quickly understand, financial matters related to operating a branch office.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and claims information systems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to convey technical information to claimants, clients, and team members.
• Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting claims loss reports.
• Ability to present information and respond to inquiries from corporate offices, clients, vendors, and staff.
• Competence in managing a diverse team.
• Certifications and/or licenses as mandated by state regulations.
• CPDM or CLMS certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Ability to engage in light work and associated physical activities, such as standing, walking, lifting, reaching, handling, and grasping.
