This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Conduct market research and analyze competitor offerings to showcase the unique value of Amex GBT products, emphasizing benchmarking and technology as essential value drivers.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of primary business drivers, organizational culture, and the competitive landscape of clients.
• Spearhead global initiatives for the assigned portfolio across four regions and over 50 countries, providing guidance to regional market leaders in alignment with client global objectives.
• Drive sales initiatives to generate multiple revenue streams and deepen account penetration, particularly focusing on non-transactional premium revenue.
• Boost profitability by proactively seeking new opportunities and delivering innovative solutions that consistently benefit our clients.
• Formulate creative pricing strategies while contributing to ongoing client P&L management and retention efforts.
• Lead business planning sessions, C-Level executive reviews, quarterly and annual assessments, and negotiations for rebids on strategic accounts.
• Enhance the value proposition of American Express Global Business Travel through policy consultation, identifying needs for white papers, technology road mapping, optimizing online solutions, and developing event content.
• Exhibit strong relationship-building skills to foster trusted partnerships with clients.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in global account/client management, with a strong preference for proven leadership skills and travel industry expertise.
• Prior customer/client-facing experience and client relationship management skills with global clients are essential.
• Experience in global service delivery or account implementations is a plus.
• A demonstrated ability to apply a data-driven, analytical approach to the client’s travel program in a consultative manner, showcasing expertise in identifying business opportunities.
• Proven capability to quickly learn, understand, and communicate key product knowledge and value propositions across various contexts.
• A successful track record in consultative selling is required, along with demonstrated achievements in growing client revenue and profitability.
• Ability to effectively convey Amex GBT’s value proposition, with proven presentation skills suitable for executive audiences, including C-Suite stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic visions, account plans, action plans, and set measurable goals.
• Proven innovative problem-solving and decision-making skills, alongside project management, prioritization, and planning competencies.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical mindset required to leverage key profitability drivers.
• A robust business and financial competence with a consistent record of achieving results and meeting targets is essential.
• Excellent negotiation skills, including the ability to address objections and reach mutually beneficial solutions, with proven success in RFP management and negotiations.
• A demonstrated ability to proactively cultivate and maintain a broad network, both internally and externally, to effectively navigate client organizations.
• A sophisticated range of communication, presentation, and influencing skills to articulate complex ideas clearly and compellingly to diverse audiences.
• Highly collaborative, with a successful history of working in matrixed environments.
• Proficient and comfortable using various software platforms, including but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Salesforce.
