This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support the overall monthly project accounting, which includes taking notes during monthly status meetings and updating financial trackers.
• Initiate new projects within time and expense systems and files, ensuring signatures are verified, reconciling with Salesforce, and addressing any discrepancies.
• Revise project files to reflect change orders, budget modifications, carve-outs, and project milestones/tasks.
• Record intercompany revenue and cost transactions while updating shared financial trackers.
• Aid in the preparation and investigation of hours and expenses related to client projects, including the review of billing roles and rates.
• Generate client invoices based on contracts and follow up on overdue invoices.
• Develop and maintain invoicing waterfalls in accordance with contracts when applicable.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly client accruals.
• Monitor project costs in relation to contracted amounts and direct costs that are shared among projects and clients.
• Set up and monitor new employees and, when applicable, track subcontractor hours, billing rates, and expenses against forecasts and budgets.
• Update routine monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts and work collaboratively with the SG&A team.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects, including the preparation of the annual budget.
• Help gather supporting documents for the annual audit.
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting, finance, or business.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in Agency or Professional Services is a plus.
• Familiarity with month-end closing processes.
• Knowledge of Revenue Recognition principles.
• Experience in Project Accounting.
• Background in Client Services or Client-Facing roles.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to process and analyze large quantities of qualitative and quantitative data.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with a keen attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability.
