This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support monthly project accounting tasks, including documenting notes from status meetings and updating financial trackers.
• Initiate new projects within time and expense systems and files, confirm signatures, reconcile with Salesforce, and escalate any discrepancies.
• Revise project files to reflect change orders, budget modifications, carve-outs, milestones, and tasks.
• Record intercompany revenue and cost transactions while updating shared financial trackers.
• Aid in preparing and analyzing project hours and expenses, including assessing billing roles and rates.
• Generate client invoices in accordance with contracts and follow up on overdue invoices.
• Develop and maintain invoicing waterfalls when applicable.
• Assist with monthly client accruals.
• Monitor project costs against contracted amounts and shared direct costs.
• Establish and monitor employee and subcontractor hours, billing rates, and expenses in relation to forecasts and budgets.
• Update routine monthly general ledger reconciliations and work collaboratively with the SG&A team.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects, including preparation for the annual budget.
• Help compile supporting documents for the annual audit.
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting, finance, or business.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.
• Experience in an agency or professional services environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with month-end close processes.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition principles.
• Experience in project accounting.
• Client services or client-facing experience.
• Outstanding client service and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to process and analyze large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data.
• Skilled at multitasking with a keen attention to detail and a high level of accountability.
