This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.
• Manage the complete financial processes for a portfolio of ecommerce clients led by founders, including month-end closing, management accounts, cash flow, reporting, and ad-hoc analysis.
• Ensure month-end closure within 10 working days for each client, incorporating comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations approved by the source.
• Assess daily financial operations across your portfolio, enhancing accuracy and timeliness.
• Supervise supplier payment processes, ensuring that cash disbursements are executed smoothly, punctually, and with proper approvals.
• Maintain detailed weekly cash flow forecasts to provide founders with a clear understanding of their financial status.
• Manage multi-channel revenue reconciliation utilizing A2X or Link My Books, focusing primarily on Shopify, Amazon, and other relevant marketplaces.
• Reconcile payouts from payment processors (Stripe, Klarna, PayPal, Shopify Payments), including handling fees, foreign exchange, refunds, and chargebacks.
• Oversee inventory and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) accounting, including landed costs, stock adjustments, margin analysis, and third-party logistics reconciliations.
• Conduct weekly and monthly client meetings: guiding founders through their financial data, addressing questions in real-time, and highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Manage and mentor Finance Managers assigned to your clients, reviewing their work and elevating standards.
• Develop and enhance reporting packs, KPI dashboards, and cash flow models that are practical and beneficial for clients.
• Continuously refine the operational playbook: improving processes, adopting smarter tools, and implementing AI-assisted workflows.
• Strong technical accounting skills: capable of executing a clean closing process, owning balance sheet reconciliations from start to finish, and reconciling each account back to the source.
• Demonstrated success in completing book closings within stringent timelines (preferably within 10 working days or less) across multiple entities.
• ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or an equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years managing end-to-end finance for multiple clients or business units simultaneously, thriving in a context-switching environment rather than focusing solely on depth.
• Practical experience in ecommerce accounting: familiarity with Shopify (and ideally Amazon), A2X or Link My Books, multi-channel revenue recognition, and COGS.
• Proven capability to reconcile payment processors (Stripe, Klarna, PayPal, Shopify Payments), including fees, foreign exchange, and chargebacks.
• Advanced knowledge of Xero: proficient in setting up tracking categories, bank rules, reporting layouts, and consolidations.
• Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets; you can construct a model rather than just interpret one.
• Comfortable leading client calls, able to guide a non-financial founder through their financial data and establish trust.
• 25 days of paid holiday.
• 10 days of paid sick leave.
• Local public holidays off.
• A day off for your birthday.
• An annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
