This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Accountable for shaping the strategy for substantial, strategic accounts, which includes leading and coordinating effective selling and relationship-building activities.
• Responsible for having a thorough understanding of the business strategy, drivers, goals, and initiatives of large account clients and converting these into Gartner selling opportunities.
• Develop and sustain executive relationships with clients to establish trust and become their go-to advisor.
• Manage accounts with the goal of enhancing customer satisfaction and driving retention and account growth.
• Hold quota responsibility tied to specific strategic accounts.
• Achieve mastery and consistently implement Gartner’s internal sales methodology.
• Skilled in large account planning and knowledgeable about territory management.
• Oversee forecast accuracy on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Maintain competitive awareness and focus.
• Responsible for fiscal management regarding expenses.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of Gartner’s products and services.
• 10-15 years of external experience demonstrating success in consultative sales, ideally within high technology sectors (services, software, or hardware).
• Capable of prospecting and managing relationships with C-level and senior executives in large multinational corporations.
• Strong display of intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen.
• Proven track record of cultivating excellent client relationships, providing valuable insights and strategic advice tailored to their business needs.
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend enterprise-wide challenges and design innovative, integrated solutions that support IT decision-making for global companies.
• Thorough understanding of technology buying centers.
• Significant and relevant industry expertise, particularly regarding vertical markets within assigned territories.
• Strong proficiency in computer skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal/presentation abilities.
• Capability to develop and deliver effective presentations to contract decision-makers (C-level).
• Familiarity with the entire sales process lifecycle, from prospecting to closing.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A Master's or advanced degree is a plus.
